No more standing in a queue for the Colosseum.
Nearly everyone who's been to Rome, remembers the queue for the Colosseum. You don't want to leave Rome without visiting the oldest Roman Arena of them all, but that queue.... We have two golden tips for you on how to avoid the queue.
Tip 1: Buy a Roma pass. This pass can be bought at any of the tourist stands in Rome for 25 Euros. It gives you free entrance to the first two monuments or museums you visit and considerable discounts on all other places of interest. So make sure the Colosseum is the first place you visit, and you can simply pass the queue by!
Tip 2: Buy a combi-ticket. If you're not planning to visit many museums, it might not be worth your while to buy a Roma pass. A better option is then to buy a combi-ticket, which is available from the Forum Romanum, for example. These combi-tickets only cost 7.50 Euros, which is less than the price for the Colosseum alone! You pass by the queue, scan your ticket and enter the world of the gladiators.
