Almond biscuits

Ingredients

100 grams icing sugar
100 grams almonds
1 teaspoon almond extract
2 pieces egg whites

Preparation method

Step 1Preheat the oven to 190°C.
Step 2Grind the almonds to a fine powder together with the icing sugar.
Step 3Beat the egg whites until stiff, in a very clean dish. Fold the egg whites gently into the almond mixture and stir in the almond extract.
Step 4Pour the almond mixture into a piping bag with a circular, smooth nozzle of approx. 1 cm (half inch) diameter. Pipe small mounds of the mixture onto greaseproof paper on a baking tray.
Step 5Bake the biscuits in the preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown. Leave to cool on a wire rack and dust with icing sugar before serving.
